U-Tube shell and tube heat exchangers are a common design used in many industrial and sanitary applications due to their efficiency and versatility. This type of heat exchanger features a set of U-shaped tubes mounted within a cylindrical shell. One of the primary advantages of the U-Tube design is its ability to accommodate thermal expansion and contraction without causing stress on the tubes. This flexibility makes U-Tube heat exchangers particularly suitable for applications involving significant temperature differences between the two fluids. Additionally, the U-Tube configuration allows for easy maintenance and cleaning, as the tube bundle can be removed for inspection or repair.
(1) Ultra-strong Corrosion Resistance: The silicon carbide material is suitable for various strongly corrosive working conditions, and it has extremely high corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance and impact resistance. It can resist highly concentrated sulfuric acid, nitric acid, mixed acids, strong alkalis, oxidants, etc. It is the only ceramic material that can resist the corrosion of hydrofluoric acid. (2) Superior Heat Exchange Efficiency: The thermal conductivity of silicon carbide is almost equivalent to that of the impregnated graphite commonly used in chemical equipment, and it is much higher than that of other materials. Its thermal conductivity is twice that of tantalum alloy, five times that of stainless steel, ten times that of Hastelloy alloy, and fifteen times that of glass-lined steel. (3) The SSIC pressureless silicon carbide heat exchange tubes have high hardness and are extremely resistant to wear. Their surfaces are smooth and shiny, and they are not prone to scaling. (4) Low comprehensive cost: The comprehensive cost is superior to that of graphite heat exchangers. In particular, it has great advantages when replacing precious metal materials such as tantalum, zirconium, and Hastelloy alloys.
(1)High heat transfer coefficient: Through the brazing process, stainless steel folded fins are welded on the inner wall of the stainless steel heat exchange tubes. The fin ratio is 4 to 6 times that of the original tubes, significantly increasing the heat exchange area within the tubes and enhancing the heat conduction on the inner side of the tubes. This asymmetric flow design allows the medium with a lower heat transfer coefficient to flow through the tube side, thereby increasing the overall heat transfer coefficient (K value) of the heat exchanger by more than 3 times. (2)High condensation efficiency: The fins inside the tube enhance the turbulence of the gas and the collision of wet particulate matter, significantly increasing the condensation recovery rate compared to straight tubes. (3)Compact in size and low in space occupation, with low installation cost: Compared with straight pipes, the same power product has significantly reduced volume. Compared with external finned tubes, it is more suitable for layout design of circular cylinders.
